2nd A.E.O Meeting

The second meeting was held in Cyprus in the year 2001 at the Westminster Hall at the Holiday inn Hotel, and was organized by the Ocularist Fedra Siniora, 62 Iasonidoy str. Minutes of round table discussion

  1. It was unanimously agreed that those present wished to continue meeting in future and that a title for the group was required. After hearing all suggestions and following discussion all agreed that the group would in future be called the Association of European Ocularists (A.E.O).
  2. It was agreed that the group would open to all ocularists and other interested individuals.
  3. It was agreed that the ocularists and interested individuals from outside Europe will also to be welcomed.
  4. It was unanimously agreed that the principal organizer of each meeting will have the title of “President’’ bestowed upon them and that they will remain as such until the next conference when the principal organizer of that conference will succeed them.
  5. It was unanimously agreed that a conference of the Association of European Ocularists will be held every second year.
  6. It was agreed that an ocularist from different country should host each conference to ensure a fair geographical spread of location and responsibility.
  7. After discussion and following careful consideration it was agreed to accept the very kind offer by Erica Groet to host the 3rd conference in Holland in mid September 2003. Final dates and venue to be confirmed.
  8. All present agreed that postal and Email contact addresses of all delegates attending Cyprus 2001 can be circulated to all AEO members and that these minutes should be distributed as widely as possible to advertise the existence of the AEO.
  9. A vote of thanks was unanimously supported by all presents to the organizers of the 2nd conference – Mrs. Fedra Siniora and her Husband Jack for their organization of a very successful conference.
